LUNCHEON MEETING: WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2008 - The Value of Conducting an HR Audit, Kimberly Nash, SPHR - Director of Human Resource Services at Alpha Benefits Group

Please note that this meeting is a luncheon and will be held from 12 noon to 1pm at Graham Packaging, 2401 Pleasant Valley Rd, York, PA.

In fiscal year 2007, the Wage and Hour Division of the Dept. of Labor recovered more than $220 million in back wages for employees and collected $10.3 million in civil money penalties.  Meanwhile, the EEOC won $54.8 million in monetary rewards for individuals who filed discrimination claims.

Conducting an HR audit in your organization may not completely eliminate the liability associated with wage and hour or discrimination claims.  However, an HR audit will identify the risks in your organization and provide methods for correcting compliance issues.

Find out how to keep your organization from becoming a statistic and paying out huge monetary awards.  This session will identify the key focus areas of an HR Audit and the hot spots that cause organizations difficulty.

As the Director of Human Resource Services for Alpha Benefits Group, Mrs. Nash works with clients providing human resource services including HR compliance audits, training, and outsourced or co-sourced HR management.  She also serves as a part-time instructor for Villanova University teaching the Professional Human Resource Management course for human resource professionals.

Mrs. Nash holds the Senior Professional Human Resource certification through the Human Resource Certification Institute, and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and a Past President of the Human Resource Professionals of Central PA.  She is a graduate of York College of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Education.  Currently, she is enrolled in the MBA/Human Resource Management program at the University of Phoenix and serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.
